SYRIAN REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT PROGRAM

Fiysabiylillah Compassionate Aid Organization is a registered Canadian charity which has been serving the needs of the less fortunate in Durham Region, the Greater Toronto Area and overseas for the past 15 years. The organization operates fully on a voluntary basis and does not use donations to fund administrative expenses. There are no paid employees and 100% of your donations always go directly to the needy of our projects.

Our 2014 marquee project was to support 150 displaced Syrian widows / orphans by providing shelter, food, clothing and education. Alhamduiillah, with your generous contributions and through coordination with local volunteers in Jordan, we were able to complete this project and these 150 individuals are fully dependent on the support we provide. In May 2015, our President visited these widows / orphans in Jordan and was able to observe and directly account for the success of the project.

Now that the Canadian government has opened its doors to 25,000 Syrian refugees, we want to offer these widows / orphans in our program a better quality of life and the opportunity to resettle in Canada. Through personal contacts and coordination with our Jordanian partners, 10 of the families have indicated that they want to move and start a new life in Canada. Our goal is to bring the 10 families and assist them in resettling here in our local communities.

We have entered into an agreement with the Islamic Foundation of Toronto, a government recognized Sponsorship Agreement Holder (SAM), to begin the sponsorship process for the 10 families. As stipulated by government regulations, we need to raise $300,000 before the application is completed and submitted for processing. We urgently need your generous donations and participation in this humanitarian relief project.
